唐宋时期汉文文献对回族先民的认知——以胡客、蕃客、海獠为例

摘　　要：回族先民于唐宋之际进入华夏,时人为了理解方便,对这些从阿拉伯、波斯来华的使者或商人称之为"胡客""番客""海獠"。本文通过对这三组词语的历史演变和当时语境进行梳理,认为这是传统的中国天下观和华夏/蛮夷的二元对立族群认知体系的集中体现,而这具有本土特色用语的出现,有助于伊斯兰教的中国化与普及化。When the Hui ancestors entered Cenral China in the Tang and Song Dynasties, in order to facilitate understanding of these Arabic and Persian Ambassadors and merchants, they are called the Hu, Fan, and Hailiao. In this paper, the historical evolution of these three names is analyzed in historical context. It is a concentrated ex- pression of the traditional Chinese view of the world of Chinese/barbarians and a binary opposition of different ethnic groups. These names with local color promote the localization and popularity of Islam in China.
