摘　　要：在农村社会学研究中,村庄研究范式长期占据主导地位。然而在乡村生活迅速分化的今天,村庄正在失去其作为稳定的农村基层共同体单位的特征,也难以通过其管窥到农村宏观社会问题的要领,乡镇却因其适度覆盖行政村及自然村落而具有稳定的政府建制,成为新时期研究农村社会的首选单位。已有的乡镇研究多关注其机构改革等问题,未能充分重视乡镇在中国农村社会的积极作用。就农村的发展实际而言,乡镇可以成为我国农村社会转型的稳定承接点,从而具有连接个体与社团、政府与市场、传统与现代、闭合与开放等诸多两极力量的功能,是我们理解和预判中国农村社会的变动现实和未来走向的钥匙,农村社会学的研究范式也会因此得到扩展与创新。In the study of rural sociology,the village study paradigm has played a dominant role for a long time. But as the rural life is rapidly differentiating,villages are losing their characteristic as basic stable rural community units,through which macro rural social problems can hardly be observed and obtained. Townships,on the other hand,which have stable governmental establishments that appropriately cover both administrative and natural villages,have become preferred units for the study of rural society in the new period. However,the existing researches focus more on the aspect of institutional reforms and fail to value the positive role of townships in China's rural society. This paper believes that townships can be stable carriers of rural social transformation and have the function of connecting opposite powers,such as individuals and organizations,the government and the market,the traditional and the modern,the close and the open. Townships are the key to understanding and predicting the changing reality and the future trend of the rural society.Accordingly,the paradigm of rural sociology can be expanded and innovated,too.
