摘　　要：砚是我国古代文化的一大瑰宝,它最原始的作用就是将墨色及颜料研磨至细,以利书写。汉代至两晋有圆形三足砚,北朝盛行方形四足砚,隋唐则多龟式、屐式、箕式及山峰多足式等各种式样的砚。济南市博物馆收藏一件唐代龟形四足陶砚（图1）,高8.3、长20厘米。其龟引颈回首,四足直立,情态生动。龟背巧作椭圆形砚池,池内残留墨迹。The inkstone is a great treasure of China's ancient culture.It's most primitive function is to grind ink and pigment to a fine degree to facilitate writing. As a category of ancient cultural heritage, the shape of inkstones gradually becomes exquisite due to prosperity of social economy and culture. It's function has also developed from writing tool to the artwork. This article selects and appreciates exquisite inkstones stored at the Jinan museum.
