Objective: To explore the bio-compatibility influence ofintraocular lens modified by docetaxel to ocular tissues. Methods: A total of 32 Japanese rabbits were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group was surgically implanted hydrophobic intraocular lens modified by docetaxel, while the control group, hydrophobic intraocular lens only. The hy-drophilic angle, flare spot and the number of inflammatory infiltration surrounding ocular tissues 24 h after operation of the two groups were compared. Results: The hydrophilic angle in the experimental group was smaller than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P〈0.05). The number of flare spot in the experimental group was less than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P〈0.05). The number of inflammatory infiltration surrounding ocular tissues in the experimental group was less than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P〈0.05). Conclusion: Intraocular lens modified by docetaxel has a better hydrophilicity and bio-compatibility with ocular tissue. It can relieve the inflammation infection of flare spot and reduce the incidence of complications, which is worthy of clinical reference.
