中国高等教育本质研究的回顾与反思

摘　　要：20世纪90年代以来,对中国高等教育本质的研究经历了起步阶段、相对沉寂阶段和热烈讨论阶段三个阶段。在研究和讨论的过程中,不同的研究者形成了不同的高等教育本质观,概括起来有双重属性说、高等教育本质的动态性说、高等教育的文化本质说和高等教育集探知、育人、服务社会为一体的本质说。展望未来的高等教育本质研究,研究者应先明确高等教育本质的内涵,然后找到适切的高等教育本质研究的方法论。Since the 1990s, the research of the essence of Chinese higher education has experienced three stages： the initialstage, the relative silence stage and the heated discussion stage. In process of the research and the discussion, different researchershas formed different viewpoints of the essence of higher education： double essences of higher education; dynamic essence of highereducation; cultural essence of higher education; the essence of Chinese higher education is a complex with researching, educatingpeople and serving society, looking into the future research on higher education essence, researchers should definite the essence＇sconnotation of higher education firstly, and then find the appropriate methodology about this research.
