修订实验动物概念的定义对中国实验动物行业发展的重要性和意义探讨

摘　　要：中国实验动物行业经过30多年的发展逐步形成一个独立的、完整的、封闭的生产、使用和管理体系,科学准确的实验动物概念不仅对实验动物行业本身,对动物生产和使用、保护、福利和伦理,对生命科学及相关行业和产业,科学普及和教育等事业都有着十分重要的意义和作用。通过我国实验动物的概念同美国的相比较,发现我国实验动物的概念存在定义不到位,范围不清晰,界限模糊等问题,造成生产、使用和管理中的一系列困惑和难题,影响和限制了实验动物行业的发展,也给相关行业带来了严重的后果和影响。因而适时修改实验动物概念的定义是必要的,有着积极的、现实的、客观的作用和影响。Laboratory animal industry forms an independent, comprehensive system responsible for the production, use and management of laboratory animals. Great advances have been made in this field in China over the more than thirty years of development. However, due to the great development and changes during this tong time, there are also some issues which need to be amended and changed. To compare the concepts of experimental animals in China and developed countries such as USA. The key concepts on the laboratory animals are not well or clearly defined in the regulatory documents in China, which hinder the healthy development and effective regulation in this field, as well as the care and use of laboratory animals in research and education. In this article, we discuss the necessity of timely amendment and standardization of the key concepts and definitions related to laboratory animals, and the importance and impact of the key concepts on the development of animal industry in China.
