摘　　要：文章以常州工学院图书馆为例,分析了地方本科院校图书馆进行社会服务的必要性与优势,阐述地方本科院校图书馆实现服务社会功能的具体途径与对策。Taking library at Changzhou Institute of Technology as an example,this paper analyzes the necessity and advantage of libraries at local undergraduate colleges and universities to carry out social service,and expounds specific ways and countermeasures of implementing social function of the library.
