摘　　要：杰克·伦敦研究自美国伦敦作品评论伊始至今已逾百年,新世纪该领域研究欲突破,厘清其间颇具争议的问题是一大走向。比读杰克·伦敦创作早期发表的两部同题材作品《北方的奥德赛》(An Odyssey of the North,1900)与《白人李婉》(Li-Wan,the Fair,1902),以梳理伦敦创作早期的种族意识表现为旨归,聚焦其笔下书写的印第安土著与淘金白人间的紧张关系,抉发出两作间的互文性及作者的创作深意。Till now Jack London Studies has a history of more than one hundred years since the early criticism of Jack London＇s literary works in America in the early twentieth century.For the breakthrough of this researching field in now new century,trying to answer separately those highly debatably questions may be one way out.This paper,by comparative and creative reading of Jack London＇s two early writings An Odyssey of the Northin 1900 Li Wan,the Fairin 1902,which both focused on the same event i.e.girl＇s being stolen away from her own people and its outcome,intends to come out London＇s controversial racism in his early time.The early two stories in London＇s creation can actually be interpreted as centering in the intense relations between the Indian natives and those white gold-miners,such intertextuality does great help in delving into London＇s hidden racism while writing.
