摘 要:在新文化运动中,陈独秀攻击孔教与梁漱溟阐扬孔学,相映成趣,二者常被视为五四时期文化激进主义与文化保守主义的双峰并峙。然而,陈梁二氏实则并非新文化与旧传统的思想对手,其分歧与其说在尊孔与反孔,毋宁说在对孔教的不同理解。陈氏以礼教为孔教之精华,而梁氏则以仁学为孔学真谛,由此而有排孔与扬孔之分歧。梁氏所阐扬的孔学,是孔子"仁"的人生哲学,它是一种关于"仁的生活"的人生态度。陈氏的反礼教与梁氏的尊仁学,形成了五四时代一场关于儒学的重要思想对话。In the New Culture Movement, Chen Duxiu's attacking on Confucianism and Liang Shuming's advocate of Confucianism were interestingly contrasted, and were seen as confronting each other as cultural radicalism and cultural conservatism in May 4th Movement. However, Chen and Liang were, in fact, not rivals between new culture and old tradition. Their disputes were less an attitude of either worshipping or opposing Confucius than a difference of understanding Confucianism. Chen held that li ("礼") was the quintessence of Confucianism, but Liang upheld that it was ren ("仁"). Thus there was a divergence of anti- or pro-Confucianism. The Confucianism Liang elucidated was Confucian life philosophy of ren. It was an attitude of life. Chen's anti-li doctrine and Liang's pro-ren doctrine formed an important ideological dialog on Confucianism in the era of May 4th Movement.
