论谭恩美与东方主义

摘　　要：全球化时代,依然有东方主义。谭恩美的系列小说有时因袭东方主义,有时又超越。因袭的原因除了有受西方传统的东方主义的影响外,还有为了迎合西方读者对异域的想象,满足市场需求;以及东西方交流不畅造成的。超越东方主义的原因主要有以下几点:一是华裔的身份使她比白人更了解真实的东方究竟是什么样子;二是谭恩美试图反抗文化霸权,重写心目中的东方;三是创新的渴望和驱动。只有超越东方主义,才能更好地处理东西方关系,和平相处。In the era of globalization, there is still Orientalism. A series of novels of Amy Tan sometimes follow Orientalism conventionality, sometimes beyond it. Besides she is influenced by the western tradition of Orientalism, reasons of follow Orientalism also have catering to the western readers＇ imagination of exotic, to meet the market demand; And due to miscommunication between east and west. The reasons of surpassing Orientalism mainly include the following： one is that the identity of the Chinese American makes her learn more about what is the real east than whites; the second is Amy tan try to resist cultural hegemony, rewrite the east of her idea; the third is the desire and drive of the innovation. Only surpassing Orientalism, can we better deal with relationship between east and west, live in peace.
