Designing,Managing and Developing Natural Disaster Destination:A Case Study of Beichuan Qiangcheng Tourism Zone in Sichuan Province

摘  要:从自然灾害旅游的角度出发,采用文献分析法、半结构精英访谈法和游客问卷调查法,梳理以"5·12"汶川大地震遗址为核心的旅游景区的开发模式,分析各主要场所(景点)对游客体验的影响,探讨自然灾害型黑色旅游遗址的教育作用。研究结果表明:游客通过游览受到了深刻的爱国主义教育,但是难以得到放松或休闲体验;防灾减灾教育能提高游客的重游意愿,但是游客对防灾减灾教育的感知薄弱。打造多维度的旅游产品、缩小地震遗址的保存范围、革新遗址的讲解与形象是推动绵阳北川羌城旅游区可持续发展的关键措施。In China, the natural disaster tourism developed quickly in the“5·12” Wenchuan Earthquake af-fected areas after 2008. There are two study purposes of this paper: to interpret the strategies of designing and building a tourism zone in earthquake devastated areas;and to find out some suitable methods to develop the zone sustainably. Documents analysis, semi-structure interview with elites from local tourism industries, and question-naire survey with tourists are methods used. The questionnaire survey results indicate that after the trip, the deepest experiences of tourist were “felt the terrible nature of earthquakes and reverence of the nature”,“felt the solidarity spirit of disaster resistance” and “felt the value of the life”. Whilst the element of disaster prevention education would increase visitors’ satisfaction and their re-visit willingness, only 16% of the visitors said that their most im-pressive experience was disaster prevention education. Thus, in order to develop the Qiangcheng tourism zone sus-tainably, destination managers should develop more attractive tourism products such as visiting Qiang ethnic vil-lage, reducing the sad atmosphere of the zone, or re-writing the interpretation of the disaster sites. Furthermore, the managers should emphasis the effects of sites on natural disaster education.
