摘　　要：19世纪末到20世纪初,哥伦比亚大学教师学院在道奇、巴特勒、赫维里、拉塞尔几位强有力的领导者的推动下创建,完成了从慈善机构、教师培训学院到大学水平的专业学院的成功转型,在这一过程中,众多教育学术精英汇聚于此,开创了哥大师院乃至美国教育学科构建及发展的重要基础。Between late 19 th century and early 20 th century,Teachers College,Columbia University was driven into being by several powerful leaders：Grace Hoadley Dodge,Nicholas Murray Butler,Walter L.Hervey,James Earl Russell,and William Fletcher Russell.It was successfully transformed from a charity institution into a college for training teachers,and then further to a professional school in a university.In the process,many distinguished educational scholars gathered there and created an important foundation for the building and development of the College and even the discipline of education in the United States.
