35%-40%。In order to understand the effects of earthworms on growth performance of rice field eel( Monopterus albus),eels were fed with the food contained 0%( control group),25%,50%,75% and 100% of earthworms respectively for 61 days. The results show that: the weight gain rate, specific growth rate of the 25%earthworm group were significantly higher than those of the control group. The fertility of the 50% earthworm group was significantly higher than that of the control group. With the increasing of earthworm addition, there was a rising trend in the activity of proteinase in intestinal, while it decreased at first and then increased in the stomach. The pancreatic lipase in intestinal showed the tendency of increasing at first and then decreasing with the increase of earthworms.Amylase activity was lower in both of stomach and intestinal, and it was higher in intestine than in stomach,by comparison,25%- 50% of earthworm could significantly improve the amylase activity in stomach and intestine. Conclusion: adding earthworms can promote digestion of dietary protein, fat and starch of rice field eel and improve the growth performance of rice field eel.According to the results of growth performance regression analysis and activity of digestive enzymes,35%-40% of earthworm addition in feed of rice field eel is the optimum.
