摘 要:英语名词是语言学习的基础,而名词短语的中心语的识别又是关键。自从语言学的发展以来,不同的语法学派从不同的角度研究名词短语的中心语的识别方式。新近发展起来的认知学派,以语言的交互功能为依托,以人的心理经验为载体,提出了入场理论。入场理论以入场中介为媒介,使一个名词入场为名词短语,使一个名词短语成为小句。本文尝试着从入场理论分析名词短语的中心语,指出名词不再是一个名词短语的唯一的中心语,限定词和各种修饰语也是名词短语的中心成分。English noun phrases are basis of language learning in which the recognition of head element is the most important. Since the development of linguistics, different schools have studied the recognition of noun phrase head element from various angles. Based on the interactive function of language and human's psychological experience, the recently developed cognitive' grammar put forward Grounding theory. Through grounding elements, nouns can develop into noun phrases and then into clauses. This passage attempts to analyze the head elements from the prospective of grounding theory and finally points out that nouns can no longer be regarded as the head elements, sometimes the determiners or qualifiers are the head elements of nominal phrases.
