由广东茂名PX事件引发的思考

摘　　要：PX事件发生的直接诱因是民众担心PX及PX项目会对环境带来系列有毒污染。PX事件也折射出民众与社会对化学缺乏正确的认识,化学的不利一面被无限放大,而化学的有利一面被全然忽视。重塑化工行业良好社会形象,一方面要求政府加大安全生产与环境保护的监管力度,逐步建立起牢固的官民互信体系;另一方面要依靠化学本身的技术革命,大力发展环境友好的绿色化学与化工,以利从源头消除化学污染。The direct cause of the PX event was that the public worried that PX and PX projects would contaminate the environment.PX event reflects the public unfamiliarity with chemistry,the exaggeration of negativity chemistry and the ignorance of its positivity.To re-creat a good social image of chemical industry,it is vital for the government to increase the supervision of production safety and environmental protection,and gradually establish a firm trust system between the government officials and the public.It is also imperative to rely on chemical technological revolution,and vigorously develop the environmental friendly green chemistry and chemical engineering,in order to eliminating chemical pollution from the very beginning.
