《项链》主题“命运说”辨正

摘　　要：近年来,有论者提出,《项链》的主题不是讽刺资产阶级的虚荣心,而是感叹人的命运变化莫测。命运说忽略了作者运用自由间接引语描绘人物心理的手法,也没有注意到某些《项链》中译本对关键字眼的漏译。《项链》不仅讽刺女主人公的虚荣心,而且讽刺她面对社会阶层之间的鸿沟所表现的天真无知,包含了作者对女主人公的关切和同情。In recent years, some arguments have put it that the theme of the Necklace is an expression of wonder at the changeable destiny rather than a satire on bourgeois vanity. The constrastive study of Chinese and French versions of the Necklace reveals the invalidity of this school of thought due to its negligence in terms of the writer＇s human psychological portrayal through free indirect speech, in terms of the missing translation of keywords in some Chinese version of the Necklace. The Necklace is a satire on the vanity of the heroine as well as her ignorance in face of insurmountable gap between social classes, which implies the writer＇s concern and sympathy to the heroine＇s circumstances.
