《红楼梦》角色姓名“归化”译法探究

摘　　要：《红楼梦》中的角色名大多蕴含着丰富的内涵和暗示,然而在英译的过程中音译法是主流,致使角色名的风采遗失泰半。归纳和比较不同的译本后,从多元系统理论出发,意译法和归化策略的可行性呼之欲出,再运用到翻译实践中也颇为得当。Names of Hongloumeng ＇s characters often suggest various meanings and hints. However,in their translation,the widely-used method of transliteration generally does not allow for the conveyance of their features. After sorting out and comparing different translated versions of Hongloumeng,the feasibility of domesticating translation as well as liberal translation is well-established basing on polysystem theory. Translation practices also prove their competence.
