支僧载《外国事》辑释——《续修四库全书总目提要》补正一则

摘　　要：支僧载的生活时代在东晋成帝、安帝年间,国籍月氏的可能性较小。以目前所辑佚文可知《外国事》主要记述中印度地区佛教胜迹与传闻,非支僧载亲见亲闻,与《法显传》叙事时间孰前孰后不可知。部分史料具有独有性,可弥补《法显传》和《大唐西域记》记载之不足。Zhi Sengzai lived in the period of Emperors Cheng and An of Eastern Jin Dynasty, and his nation＇,dity was improbably YueZhi. WaiGuoShi （Stories of Foreign Countries） compiled by Zhi Sengzai was about famous historical sites and legends of Buddhism in Central India, which were not necessarily witnessed or heard by him. We are not sure whether its narrative time was before or after FaXianZhuan （ FaXian＇ s Travels in India） , but part of its historical data was exclusive, which can compensate for the shortcomings of FaXianZhuan and DaTangXiYuJi （Accounts of the Western World in Great Tang Dynasty） .
