摘　　要：关于records与archives术语的翻译在中文文献中存在较大争议。本文对ISO/TC46/SC11制定并发布的国际标准中records与archives的定义及涵义进行了辨析,明确了两者在概念体系中的关系和知识单元差异;从records的控制过程、records与archives的并行使用情况、ISO 30300系列标准用意、ISO15489-1:2016更新用意四个方面,论证了records应该翻译成"文件",archives应该翻译成"档案".对records与archives工作在数字时代的开展有新的认识,对正确理解ISO/TC46/SC11系列标准的用意有积极意义。There are hot debates on translation of ＇records＇ and ＇archives＇ in Chinese literature. This paper analyzes definitions of the two terms published by ISO/TC46/SC11 and their meanings in use in or- der to understand their relationships in concept system and their differences in knowledge unit. Based on analysis of processes of records control, the co-existence of records and archives in use, the purposes of ISO 30300 series of standards and ISO 15489-1：2016, the paper provides evidence to support what is the correct Iransla｜ion of ＇records＇ and ＇archives＇. The study has new perspectives on role of records and archives management in digital age, which have positive implications to better understanding and appropri- ate use of ISO/TC/46/SC11 series of standards.
