先秦乐论:中国传统艺术学思想的总根源

摘　　要：系统梳理中国传统艺术学思想,不难发现,先秦乐论不仅发展最早,是最先完成较为完备思想体系建设的门类艺术理论,也是中国古代各门类艺术思想理论的先导。中国古代相继出现、发展的各门类艺术,其思想理论无不受到先秦乐论的影响,甚至是先秦乐论在各自门类中的特殊表述。因此,深刻领会先秦乐论是今人从整体上把握中国古代各门类艺术思想理论的关键所在。考察先秦乐论及其对嗣后各门类艺术思想影响的意义在于:首先,先秦之"乐"并非后世单纯的音乐,而是诗、歌、舞、乐的综合体,本身适合作为艺术学的研究对象;第二,先秦乐论与当时学术、政治紧密结合,充分体现了中国传统艺术思想的"艺术社会学"特征;第三,先秦乐论对其他门类艺术思想的影响与相互渗透,使中国传统艺术具有高度的整体性、相通性,同根多枝而非互不相干,便于我们从艺术学的高度作整体把握;第四,作为主流艺术及其思考,先秦之乐与乐论从一开始即由处于社会中上层的士直接参与并主导,这成为中国古代艺术能否进入"艺术学"视野的共同标准。概言之,考察先秦乐论,绝不仅是古代门类艺术思想研究,更是中国传统艺术学思想的根源研究。It is not hard to notice, by systematically examining the Chinese traditional art thought that, the pre -Qin music theory is not only the earliest categorical art theory due to its earliest formation in the Chinese history, but also the theoretical forerunner among all the Chinese art categories. The art categories e- merged and developed in Chinese history are all influenced by the pre - Qin music theory and themselves can be considered as the specific forms of expression of the pre - Qin music theory. Therefore, understanding the pre -Qin music theory is the key to understanding all art thoughts across the categories in Chinese ancient history. The significance of investigating the influence of pre - Qin music theory on subsequent categorical art ideology includes the aspects as following. Firstly, the music （Yue） is not simply a music as used in later times, rather it is an assemblage of poem, song, dance and music that itself becomes a subject good enough for art studies. Secondly, since pre - Qin music theory was closely related to the academics and politics at that time, it represented the characteristic of ＂art sociology＂ of Chinese traditional art thoughts. Thirdly, the interaction between pre -Qin music theory and other categorical art thoughts results in the integrity and similarity of Chinese traditional arts. These art categories share the same root but develop in dif- ferent ways, which enables us to understand the art from the perspective of art studies. Fourthly, as a mainstream of art and theory, the and upper literati from the pre - Qin music and the music theory were engaged and directed by the middle ng, furthermore, the theory becomes the common standard to assess whether Chinese ancient artscan be taken into account as art theory studies. In conclusion, the research of pre - Qin music theory is not only a study of ancient categorical art thought but also the basic study of the thought of Chinese traditional art studies.
