摘  要:人文素质教育对于当前社会的人才培养具有重要意义。作为带头人的杨叔子先生,长期以来致力于推广人文素质教育。在他出任校长期间,促进人文素质教育讲座的创办,推进中国语文水平达标测试的实施,建立全国第一个大学生人文素质教育基地。退休后,杨叔子先生将自己多年的教育实践转化为理论思想,全身心投入到人文素质教育思想的研究,并逐渐形成了自己独特的人文素质教育理念。其中,他所提出的大学教育功能的核心是"育人"而非"制器""科学人文应该相互交融""以文化人,文化育人"等核心思想,对我国推进并实施人文素质教育产生了巨大影响。Humanistic quality education is significant for fostering talents in the current society. As a pioneer in the field, Yang has contributed himself to advocating humanistic quality education all the life. Had been assigned to be the president of Huazhong University of Technology (Huazhong University of Science and Technology at present), he promoted the establishment of the humanistic quality education lectures and prompted the implementation of the standard Chinese level test. Besides, he initiated the first humanistic quality education base for college students. After his retirement, Yang transferred his educational practice of many years into theoretical thoughts and immersed himself into the study on the humanities quality education thoughts. Gradually, he put M^ard his own unique conception regarding humanistic quality education in the end. Particularly, he holds that the core function of the college education lies in cultivation rather than machine-making. Apart from this, he supposes that science should interact with humanity and cultivate people with the knowledge and culture nurtures people. All of the core thoughts commit the immortalized contribution to pushing forward and implementing the humanistic quality education.
