摘　　要：许国璋先生是我国著名的语言学家、英语教育家,也是对语言哲学有深邃思考的学者。本文在收集整理许先生全部文稿以及他人的评述文献基础上指出,许国璋的语言哲学思想蕴含在他的语言研究和外语教育中。他的所有著述都体现出,哲理思辨是其根本;无论是他关于语言、文字的理论和关系的论述,还是他关于外语教育和翻译的认知,以及他对国外语言理论和中国传统语言论述的反思,都闪耀着语言哲学的光芒,是我们深刻理解其学术思想内涵的关键。Xu Guozhang,a well-known linguist and English educator in China,has penetrated deeply into the philosophy of language.This paper,based on all the works written by Xu and other commentators as well,has found that his profound ideas concerning linguistic research and foreign language education come from his philosophy of language.It is rooted not only in his theoretical exploration of language,writing system and their relationships and his thorough understanding of foreign language education and translation,but also in his critical evaluations of language studies in other countries and ancient China.In short,Xu Guozhangs linguistic philosophy is fundamental in his works,which helps us understand and explore his academic thoughts.
