摘　　要：21世纪迎来了中华典籍英译的高潮,相关的研究领域也不断深入与拓宽,但在典籍英译的理论与实践方面,仍有核心空间鲜有触及。现有译论大多从文化角度或宏观语境的角度切入,虽厥功甚伟,但几乎没有涉及翻译的本质与机制,有的研究也有偏离"翻译"本质的倾向。本文总结近年典籍英译研究,并在此基础上对典籍英译的本质与机制进行初步探讨,希望有助于今后的典籍英译研究与实践。The 21 st century has ushered in a tide of the translation of Chinese classics,and related studies are expanding in depth and width. However,there are still some crucial areas rarely touched upon in theoretical and practical aspects. Most existing translation theories are those from a perspective of culture or a macro context. Although they may yield some good results,few are relevant to the nature and mechanism of translation,and some studies have even deviated from the nature of＂translation＂. This article reviews recent years＇ translation studies,and on this basis,carries on a preliminary discussion of the nature and mechanism of the translation of Chinese classics,hoping to contribute to the translation of Chinese classics.
