摘　　要：通过审视材料科技英语语料梳理出该类英语的词汇、语法及语篇等语言特征;提出准确、通顺与简洁之科技英语翻译标准;基于该类科技英语之语言特征指出宜采用异化翻译策略,在翻译实践中使用零翻译、音译与直译等方法;针对材料科技英语中经常出现的长句繁杂,被动句较多、定语后置、无灵名词作主语等语言特征提出增译、减译、分译与转译等翻译技巧。Through exploring corpus of technical English of materials,the paper conducts a careful analysis of the linguistic fea-tures concerning technical English of materials and the corresponding translation criteria is given.Based on the features of words, grammar and text of technical English of materials,Foreignizing translation or Minoritizing translation,as a translation strategy is developed .The corresponding translation methods such as Zero Translation,Transliteration and Literal Translation are used in translating technical English of materials.Some translation skills such as Addition,Omission,Division and Shift are proposed to aim at some linguistic features on technical English of materials,including complex compounded sentences,the frequent appear-ance of passive voice and nominal structure and post -position of attribute as well as inanimate nouns functioning as subject.
