摘 要:配置恰当、丰富、精美的插图是当代学习型词典编撰工作的新趋势。从单图、场景插图和组合插图分类比较《牛津高阶英汉双解词典》《麦克米伦高阶英汉双解词典》和《朗文当代英语词典》等3部英语主流学习型词典的插图设计,发现词典插图具有帮助读者掌握词义的功能,其中,通过词典中的场景插图缩小了中西方文化差异,通过列举组合插图可有效帮助词典使用者理解词条上下义关系。但是,三部词典对比组合插图的条目内插图参见体系不够完善,而条目外插图参见仍有改进之处。It is a new trend to design suitable, colorful and beautiful illustrations in learner' s dictionaries. In this paper, llustrations of categories in Oxford Advanced Learner' 5 English - Chinese Dictionary,MACMILLAN English - Chinese DICTIONARY FOR ADVANCED LEARNERS and LONGMAN Dictionary o f Contemporary ENGLISH are compared. It is found that illustrations can help learners better understand meanings of wTords,and scenic illustrations in Oxford Advanced Learner's English- Chinese Dictionary and LONGMAN Dictionary of Contemporary ENGLISH have effectively bridged the Chinese and Western cultures. As for enumerating llustrations,they can help learners further understand hyponymy relation among 'words. Though there are still problems in inner-word reference systems and between-wTord reference systems are more completed in these three dictionaries,yet some improvements are still needed.
