摘　　要：汉语公示语英译在某种程度上反映了国家对外开放和人文建设的整体水平,是国家对外宣传的重要组成部分。模因论和翻译模因论的出现,为汉语公示语英译提供了全新视角。翻译模因库中由于存在有众多基因型模因和表现型模因,译者可依据具体情况对其直接克隆、复制或类推、省译、创新等。To a certain extent, the translation of Chinese public signs, an important part of the national publicity,reflects the overall level of the country＇s opening up and the cultural construction. Memetics and translation memetics provide a new angle of view for the Chinese-English translation of public signs： due to the fact that there exist many memetic genotypes and memetic phenotypes in the meme pool, the translator, according to the specific circumstances, can adopt the translation strategies of cloning, copying, analogy, omission and innovation.
