摘　　要：本文主要分析奈保尔其人其作的德性。特立尼达特定的社会文化不仅影响了奈保尔的习性,而且也决定了其文学创作的性情。作家是常人,但又不同于常人,奈保尔的创作出自其天性,他以文学的方式展现出来的自我,是某种隐秘而深沉的存在。This article mainly interprets V.S. Naipaul both as a man and as a writer. On the other hand, the temperament of Naipaul the man is decided by the community and culture of Trinidad; Naipaul the writer, on the other hand, manifests a unique selfhood with strong moral power, which has made him a great author of literature.
