摘　　要：小说中的次要人物往往不像主要人物那样受到关注,但在故事发展过程中次要人物也起着侧面衬托、渲染气氛、衔接并推动情节发展的作用。通过分析《还乡》中几个次要人物所作所为酿成的过错类型及成因,解读他们对本部悲剧作品所起的作用。Unlike the main characters,in most cases,the minor characters in novels are not paid so much attention to. However,with the development of the stories,they might play the roles of supporting form side,evoking ambiance,linking up and pushing forward the plot development. This paper attempts to analyze the serious faults the minor characters committed in The Return of the Native,to interpret the important roles minor characters played in this tragedy.
