摘 要:运用第三代海浪模式WAVEWATCHⅢ,以台风模型风场与美国NCEP风场的合成风场为驱动风场,模拟西北太平洋在台风"鲇鱼"期间的波浪变化情况。在运用卫星高度计波高资料对预报模型进行验证的基础上经进一步分析认为,台风"鲇鱼"产生的波浪在北部湾以风浪为主,涌浪较少,而在北部湾以外的南海产生的波浪以涌浪为主,涌浪波高可达3~6 m,周期为12~16 s。在台风"鲇鱼"由东向变为向北行进过程中,在南海产生的涌浪也由东向逐渐变为东北向。By using the third-generation wave model WAVEWATCHⅢ, numerical simulation of the wave fielddriven by typhoon Megi in the Northwest Pacific Ocean was carried out, in which the wind field was generated by acombination of the NCEP wind field data and a typhoon model. On the basis of good validation of satellite altimetricdata, it is seen from the simulation results that wind waves take the major proportion in the Beibu Bay, and swellstake the major proportion in the area outside the Beibu Bay in the South China Sea. Swells have little impact on theBeibu Bay, while great influence on the area outside the Beibu Bay in the South China Sea. The wave heights reachto 3-6 meters and wave periods reach to 12-16 seconds. As typhoon Megi moved from east to north, the swell direc-tion changed from eastward to northeastward.
