从认知视角解读方位“东”的英汉概念隐喻

摘　　要：罗竹风的《汉语大词典》中的抽样语料较为完整地展现出汉语方位语素"东"的历时词汇演变。将汉语方位概念演变背后所隐含的汉语概念隐喻与METALUDE英语隐喻语料库中的基本类比进行比较互证后,可见英汉语方位词的历时语义拓展都建立在合理的基于人类共同身体体验的认知基础上,然而汉语的方位认知有比较鲜明的空间和时间的统一观。现代汉语摈弃了许多古汉语中带有唯心主义色彩的认知拓展,并且出现了基于中西方广泛认同的范畴概念带来的语义拓展,这也显示了在社会发展的过程中,文化的进一步交流和融合对人们认知世界所产生的影响。This paper aims at researching the conceptual metaphors in the synchronic and diachronic lexical semantic changes of Chinese character [DONG] in dictionary-based corpus, and then it contrasts the metaphors with the basic analogies in METALUDE English metaphor corpus for mutual corroboration. We can see that the semantic expansions in these two languages are built on shared embodied physiological experiences, with Chinese unique feature of unified concept of space and time. Modem Chinese people abandon many of the idealistic semantic expansions in ancient Chinese. With the emergence of the semantic expansions based on the concepts which are widely recognized by both the East and the West, it reveals the impact on people＇ s perception of the world through the process of social development and further cultural exchange and integration all around the world.
