摘  要:会昌毁佛是中国佛教史研究和唐史研究的一个重要课题,其规模与影响都超越唐各位君王对佛教势力的抑制。对于其导因及影响,学界更是聚讼纷纭。综合目前学界对会昌毁佛的五种观点,通过新旧《唐书》《唐会要》《入唐求法巡礼记》、唐人文集等史料,分析高祖至文宗朝管制佛教势力的动机。从"华夷"观念的角度,考察"华夷之辨"与武宗毁佛这一历史事件的关联,并对毁佛之因重新进行检讨。The extermination of Buddhism during the Huichang reign( 841- 846) is an important problem in Tang studies and Buddhism studies,as the scale and influence of this event exceeded those of any other Tang emperors. There were various of interpretations on the cause and influence of this event. This paper summarises five major opinions among these different interpretations. We examine the imperial edicts which are targeted at regulating Buddhism from Emperor Gaozong to Emperor Wenzong of Tang,and analyse their intention to do so. From the perspective of the distinction between Hua and Yi,this paper also re-examines the relation between the extermination of Buddhism during the Huichang reign and the distinction between Hua and Yi.
