从后殖民视角看《模仿者》中的成长主题

摘　　要：作为经典的后殖民作品,《模仿者》不仅再现了独立后的殖民地伊莎贝拉所面临的政治、经济、文化困难,而且呈现了生活在后殖民时代的青少年特有的成长困境。作为小说的主人公,辛格的成长过程经历了认识世界的混乱期、文化成长的困惑期与模仿期、与民族成长同步的挫折期以及回归精神家园的成型期。在个人成长和民族成长过程中,辛格和他的祖国伊莎贝拉都经历了重大挫折和困难,成长的道路是漫长而曲折的。As a classical novel of post- colonialism, ＂ The Mimic Men＂ not only demonstrates the difficulties of the economy,society and culture. In Isabella after its independence,but also the specific growth theme of the youth living in the post- colonial period in the Caribbean area. Ralph Singh,the hero of this novel,experiences a period of cofusion when cognizing the world,puzzle when knowing culture,frustration when co- growing with his nation and formation when returing his spiritual home. During this process,Singh and his nation all experienced some frestrations and difficulties. Although it is a long way to go ahead,yet,if they can break out of some colonial sequela,they can find their own places in the world.
