摘　　要：犹太文学在美国的发展既秉承民族的传统又带有新大陆的特色。早期作家主要叙述家族移民经历和艰苦创业；在第二阶段更多考虑与美国文化的冲突和在同化问题上的分歧，他们既要保持传统又要承受主流文化的影响；当代作家基本摆脱身份困扰，所选择的创作主题具有普适性，足以成为美国主流文化代言人。Jewish literature develops in America with the characteristics of the new continent and under the influence of its own tradition. Early writers focused on the experiences of their family immigration and hardships. At the second stage Jewish writers dealt with the problems of culture shock and struggled against the assimilation of the American society. Modern writers almost have no identity worries and write more about the topics with universal concerns to be spokesmen of the mainstream culture.
