天然小分子抗氧化剂在眼科疾病中应用的研究进展

摘　　要：机体长期暴露于氧化应激环境下会生成大量自由基,进一步损坏细胞的结构、脂质、蛋白质以及核酸。人体的抗氧化防御功能会随着年龄的增长逐渐降低,使白内障、干眼症、青光眼、角膜病和视网膜病等疾病成为多发病,摄取天然食物或植物中的小分子抗氧化剂以补充机体抗氧化防御功能的不足,以降低或延缓上述氧化应激诱导眼科疾病的发生和发展,不失为一种安全、有效的好方法。Upon environmental stress or cellular damage, the body cannot readily detoxify the large amounts of free radicals and may thereby suffer from oxidative stress. Excess free radicals can damage the cells structure, lipids, proteins and nucleic acid. With age,the body＇s antioxidant defense mechanisms gradu- ally reduceA, leading to some eyes diseases, such as cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, corneal and retinal disease, etc. Intake of various antioxidants from natural food or plant to supplement inadequate antioxidant system can reduce or delay the development of the above mentioned eye diseases.
