摘　　要：西方当代文化理论主要指的是西方当下颇为流行的文化理论,如现代图像学理论、社会学理论、文化人类学理论等。西方当代文化理论涌入我们视野的这一文化现象,也促使我们应该以跨文化的学术视野,来看这些西方当代文化理论与世界当代艺术的关系。同时,西方当代文化理论中一些有效的理论与方法值得比较艺术学借鉴与吸收,为比较艺术学拓展研究与互释不同文化圈的艺术现象、艺术思潮和艺术流派的视野。图像学与社会学理论借助了其他文化学科理论的综合优势,在很大程度上可以解决艺术隐藏的象征意义或图像含义以及艺术外围的相关问题,在跨学科层面上与比较艺术学有相同之处;后殖民主义理论关注非主流族群艺术形态,这一点也与比较艺术学在平等对待与研究不同族群艺术现象的态度有一致的地方;文化人类学宏观地关照人类的艺术现象,对于研究不同文化圈艺术现象的关注方式也与比较艺术学在学理上有相通的特征;文化相对主义使"去中心主义"成为可能,消除中心主义也是比较艺术学的基本思路。在比较艺术学与西方当代文化理论的关联中,借鉴有益的西方现代文化理论,可以找到更多的比较艺术学的研究路径与研究方法,也为比较艺术学拓展研究的视野与跨文化的视通提供多角度,毕竟比较艺术学是开放的视域和跨文化的艺术理论研究。In the paper, ＂western cultural theories＂ are mainly referred to the popular contemporary western cultural theories, such as modern iconography, sociological theory, and cultural anthropology. The introduc- tion of various contemporary western cultural theories into China encourages us to examine the relation be- tween contemporary western cultural theories and world contemporary art studies with a cross -cultural aca- demic perspective. Meanwhile, some of the contemporary western cultural theories and methods are worthy of application in comparative art studies and likely to promote the study and interpretation of the artistic phe- nomenon, trends and schools of different cultural circles. The theory of iconography and sociology, with their comprehensive theoretical advantage, can deal with the hidden symbolic meaning or image meaning, and other relevant peripheral issues of art, in which it shares some cross - cultural characteristics with compara- tive art studies. The post - colonialism theory is concerned with the art form of the non - mainstream ethnic groups, which is the same in that it equally treats and studies the art of different ethnic groups. Cultural an- thropology deals with human artistic phenomena macroscopically, which is also similar with comparative art studies. Cultural relativism makes possible the ＂de -centralization＂ which is also the basic approach of comparative art studies. By connecting comparative art studies with contemporary western cultural theories and applying some of the useful theories, we can find more approaches and methods for comparative art stud- ies, and widen our cross - cultural academic vision.
