摘　　要：院校研究在高等教育发展中发挥着越来越重要的作用。我国院校研究起步较晚,而美国是院校研究的引领者,从美国院校研究会成立至今已有五十多年的历史,其发展已经走向了专业化和技术化之路。鉴于此,采访者就美国院校研究的组织构成、运行模式、挑战与误区等方面采访了美国院校研究会前执行主席兰迪·斯温研究员。斯温就以上几方面对美国院校研究做了详细介绍,并提出了对未来院校研究的愿景以及对中国院校研究的一些建议。Institutional research plays a more and more important role in the development of higher education.The research on institutional research starts comparatively late in China,while the United States is the leader in the research field. It has been more than 50 years since the establishment of the Association for Institutional Research. It has developed in a professional and technical way. In view of this,the authors interviewed Randy L. Swing,former executive director of Association for Institutional Research on the organization structure,operation mode,challenges and pitfalls of the study of American institutional research. He has made a detailed introduction to American institutional research on above topics,and put forward a future vision for institutional research and some suggestions for Chinese institutional research.
