Both of TCM culture and Taoism culture commonly researched the law of vital activity, harmony of man with nature, and correspondence between human body and natural environment. The vital activity complied with the law of endless circulation originated from the morality, involving increasing and decreasing circulation, ascending, descending, unfolding, folding, dispersing, gathering and transforming circulation, generating, growing, transforming, restraining and storing circulation, and living and death circulation. The law of endless circulation was flexibly applied into the diet and daily life. Both of TCM culture and Taoism culture attached importance to ‘the five zang viscera storing five emotions’ and its commander role for qi in vital activity. In the end, we underlined that TCM culture pay more attention on the principles of medical science and treatment, but Taoism culture emphasized moral self-cultivation.
