摘 要:分析1 174篇英语专业本科毕业论文选题,发现论文选题集中在教学、翻译、语言学与二语习得、文学和文化差异方向。在选题时必须遵循客观上有价值、 内容上有创新以及操作上具有可行性的原则;建议在三年级开始的专业课学习过程中要善于发现问题,选题时要控制题目的大小和难易程度;导师有必要全程参与选题、定题。In the process of analyzing 1 174 Undergraduate Graduation Theses topics for English Majors in Shaoguan University, we found the topics of the graduation theses are concentrated on the fields such as language teaching, translation, linguistics and second language acquisition, literature and cultural differences.Although the topics chosen by students are wide enough to cover a large research area and good enough to be written reasonably, some hot topics are chosen by students repeatedly;Some topics are beyond the aims of the cultivation of English majors;some are too broad or old,without any innovation;some topics are implicit and confused. On the basis of the study, we provide some basic principles in the choosing of the theses topics,such as objectively valuable,innovative on the content and feasible on the operation.At the same time,we put forth some constructive suggestions including being good at discovering problems during the study of the special courses for English majors in grade three,controlling the scope and the difficulties of the topics; The tutor must be involved in the selection and determination of the topics throughout.
