从人物的焦虑心理透视《星期六》中的“英国现状”

摘　　要：伊恩·麦克尤恩是当代英国社会责任感较强的小说家之一。其小说《星期六》中的中产阶级形象贝罗安生动地展示了恐怖氛围日益盛隆、国内局势动荡不安的世纪之交英国民众的精神状况和伦理取向。通过对"英国状况"以及小说主人公贝罗安切身感受到的困惑、焦虑以及种种思想危机的再现,麦克尤恩对英国社会现状做出了反思,对英国的未来表达了忧虑。Ian Mc Ewan is one of contemporary novelists with the strong social sense of responsibility. The image of Perowne,the main character in the novel Saturday,vividly shows the British public＇s mental health and ethical orientation while the terrorist atmosphere is becoming overwhelming and domestic situation is growing unrest at the turn of the century. By presenting the＂condition of England ＂and confusion、anxiety and various ideological crisis of the protagonist,Mc Ewan makes a reflection about the current situation of British society and expresses his concern for Britain＇s future.
