摘　　要：本文通过对篇章修辞内涵特征及英语专业语篇教学现状的分析,探讨篇章修辞在认知、功能、语用和美学方面对语篇教学的启示,将有助于学习者摆脱"形式-功能映射"的思维定式,同时也为缩短其交际能力提高"U-形发展过程"提供依据。On the basis of the connotation and features of textual rhetoric and the current situation of English majors＇ discourse teaching, the paper probes into the teaching methods promoted by textual rhetoric. The discourse teaching practice under the instruction of the theory of textual rhetoric will enlighten the students in the perspective of cognition, function, pragmatics and aesthetics, and will help students get rid of the fixed thinking pattern and shorten the U-process of the improvement of their communicative competence.
