Objective Transcranial Doppler (TCD) measurement was used to explore the changes of cerebral artery blood flood rate in Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients. Method TCD measurement data was collected from 30 AD patients (AD group) and 24 matched normal subjects investigated (control group) from July 2014 to July 2016 in our hospital, t-test was used to compare the mean velocity of blood flow in basitar artery, left and right internal carotid arteries between AD group and control group. Result Compared with control group, the velocity of blood flow in basilar artery and left internal carotid artery were slower in AD group patients (P 〈 0.05). AD group patients had slower blood flow than control group patients, but the difference did not reach statistical significance (P 〉 0.05). Conclusion Slower cerebral flow in AD patients suggests that hypopcrfusion and hypoxia might be involved in the pathogenesis of AD.
