中美时间价值取向差异性在两国大学简介中的体现形式

摘　　要：主位结构体现了小句信息的分布情况,表明小句交际功能,通常采用具有时间性的普通名词或动词承载小句信息。根据美国人类学家Kluckhohn&Strodtbeck提出的文化价值取向中的时间价值取向理论,研究了中美两国著名大学简介中使用的具有时间性的普通名词或动词在语篇中的使用情况,通过比较使用情况后发现中美大学简介在时间价值取向方面存在着差异性,这种差异性由小句所包含的信息结构的差异性体现出来。Theme-rheme structure,reflecting information distribution of clauses, indicates its interpersonal function with time,marking nouns or verbs, clause information carrier. Based on the theory of time value orientation of cultural value orientation proposed by American anthropologist KluckhohnStrodtbeck, the paper studies usage of time marking nouns or verbs in the discourses, the introduction of the famous universities in China and the United States. By comparison,it finds out that there lie the diffferences in terms of time value orientation which are embodied by the different information structures contained in the clauses.
