摘  要:在英语全球化进程不断加快的背景下,认识语言帝国主义及其负面影响显得尤为重要。语言是文化的载体,语言的霸权背后隐藏的是文化的霸权。从语言帝国主义的成因出发,发掘其和大英教学中中国文化失语症的关联,通过反思大英现有教学范式,从教学目标、教材编写和教师定位等方面探讨语言帝国主义背景下的英语教学对策,以期促进语言的生态平衡,兼顾英语教学的质量与本族语文化的传承。Nowadays, with the increasingly accelerated development of English globalization, it is especially vital to realize the concept of Linguistic Imperialism as well as its negative effect. Language is the carrier of culture ; hence linguistic hegemony reveals cultural he- gemony. The cause of formation of Linguistic Imperialism is firstly discussed in this thesis, and then the connection between it and Chi- nese Culture Aphasia in College English teaching and learning is explored. The countermeasures are put forward in the end of the paper from three aspects including teaching purpose, teaching materials and the identity of teachers by reflecting the existed teaching para- digm. The purpose of this paper is to keep the biological balance of languages and give consideration to both the education quality of College English and the inheritance of native language and culture.
