摘　　要：美国小说巨匠索尔·贝娄是一位荣膺诺贝尔文学奖之后仍文思不竭、笔耕不辍的作家。对贝娄的11部中长篇小说标题进行梳理分析,旨在帮助读者透过标题窥探到作品的主题以及作家的用意。这些作品的标题艺术具有简洁明了的特点,或是人物名称或特点;或是具有多重涵义的人物相关物品等;或是传递出作品内涵或作家愿望的人物话语。它们像一面面小镜子折射出作品的丰富内涵之光,吸引着读者去打开扉页徜徉于他的一部部思想史中。The American writer, Saul Bellow, created great works even after having won the Nobel Prize for Literature. An anal-ysis of the titles of his eleven novels and novellas is aimed at helping readers to understand the themes of the works and get into the author’ s mind. The artwork of the titles is concise and direct, adopting a surname or a character of the protagonist, or an object, a period of time or a venue related to the protagonist, or what the character says. Like mirrors, they give a glimpse of his works enticing readers to explore the great mind reflected in his works.
