摘　　要：在其博士论文《爱与圣奥古斯丁》中,通过对奥古斯丁的爱的观念进行解读,阿伦特发现,在奥古斯丁的著作中蕴含着深切地世间性关怀;邻人之爱,作为奥古斯丁所谓的"他人朝向我自身的意志",就是社会性的纯爱,它是共同体或社会中的人际之间的粘合剂。而阿伦特在这部著作中所探讨的主题、解决问题的方式,甚至用语,也预示了她后来政治哲学研究的主题和道路。Love and Saint Augustine is Arendt＇s doctoral dissertation. In this dissertation, through the philosophical interpretation of the concept of love in Augustine, Arendt discovered that, there is a deep worldly concern in Augustine＇s works; the neighborly love, as Augustine called ＂the others＇ will to- ward myself ＂, is social caritas, a binding agent between men in community or society. The themes, so- lutions, and even the mode of discourse of this book also foreshadowed the themes and ways of her lat- er political philosophy.
