摘　　要：本草名物词以"×參"格式构词的具有相当的数量。"×參"式本草名含义与人參无绝对关系,其以"叅"取义,特指根茎肥厚或粗壮的植物,又引申泛指植物的根茎。"叅"为本字,又写作"參","蔘""薓"皆为后起本字。There are a number of medicine nouns with ＂shen（參）＂. The meaning of medicine nouns with ＂shen（參）＂ h a s n o a b s o l u t e r e l a t i o n w i t h g i n s e n g, w h i c h w a s n a m e d a f t e r ＂shen（叅） ＂ a n d r e f e r i n p a r t i c u l a r t o i t s r h i z o m e s fleshy or thick. ＂shen（叅）＂ is the original form of a character, and its variant Chinese character is ＂shen（參）＂.The character ＂shen（蔘）＂ ＂shen（薓）＂ are the original form of a character later.
