摘　　要：汽车牌照识别系统是智能交通系统的核心,可用于公路交通管理,停车场收费等控制车辆和实施监控等众多场所,汽车牌照的识别技术主要分成三个步骤,车牌定位、字符分割及字符识别。利用Matlab强大的矩阵运算功能和直观的编程风格,对采集的图像进行一系列图像处理,将车牌字符清楚、明了地从图像中采集出来。License plate recognition system is the core of the intelligent transportation system,can be used for traffic management,control the vehicle parking charges and monitor many places,it mainly includes the license plate locating,character segmentation and character recognition three parts.This paper uses Matlab powerful matrix operation function and intuitive programming style,to collect images of image processing,clear the license plate character form the image acquisition.
