摘　　要：本文列举了桂南平话古晓、匣母字今读零声母的现象,说明其语音条件,并与周边方言进行比较,讨论其性质,最后指出这是壮族人民学习汉语的结果。This paper enumerates words with zero initial in Guinan Pinghua, viz. the Pinghua variety spoken in Southern Guangxi, and points out the conditions of this phonetic development of zero initial from Xiao 晓 and Xia 母 initials in ancient Chinese. It conducts a comparison with corresponding cases in surrounding dialects, and discusses the nature of zero initial. It concludes by proposing that zero initial results from the articulatory restraints and habits brought over by the Zhuang People from their mother tongue phonology when they started leaming Chinese.
