清末来滇日本教习河合绢吉与云南教育的近代化

摘　　要：河合绢吉是晚清受云南地方政府雇佣赴昆明的日本教习之一,他于1906年2月至1907年12月在昆明任教近两年,著有主要介绍昆明,并提及云南全省的著作《昆明》。结束在滇的任期返日后,河合绢吉在多所中学任校长,并著有诸多关于汉文学的著作。虽然河合绢吉是一个早已被遗忘的小人物,但他的经历却是云南教育近代化历程的一个鲜明缩影。Kawai Kenichi was one of the Japanese teachers hired by the local government of Yunnan Province in the late Qing dynasty of China. He taught in Kunming from February 1906 to December 1907. During this period, he wrote a book about Yunnan and Kunming which was entitled Kunming. After coming back to Japan, Kawai served as the principals of several high schools and wrote several research books on Chinese literature. Kawai has been forgotten for quite a long time, but his experience was a vivid epitome of the process of education modernization in Yunnan.
