摘　　要：以理工见长的交通大学,自1896年创校起即重视实验室建设与管理,始终倡行实践教学,"重实践"成为交大发展历程中的一大办学特色。本文略述清末民初时期的交通大学实验室发展简史。学校初创时即购置理化试验仪器,先后建成格致室、理化室,1903年建成化学实验室;此后随着学校专办工程教育,出现了两次实验室建设的高潮,一是1910年前后,先后建成金工厂、电机厂、木工厂,二是1920年前后,相继建成材料试验室、无线电台、水力学实验室等。此期交大实验室的起步与发展,不仅满足了专业实践性教学的基本要求,更为交大此后实验室建设发展以及建成国内外工程学府奠定了不可或缺的基础。Since 1896 when Jiao tong University found,it has known with polytechnic,thus,it always pays attention to the laboratory construction and management.Practice is a major tradition and feature of the university.This paper outlines the history of JTU＇s laboratory development in period of late Qing to early Republic.During these years,JTU built physical and chemical laboratories.With the development of special engineering education,there were two climaxes of laboratory construction.The first one is round 1910,metalworking workshop,electric machinery worksho,wood workshop were successively built.The second was by 1920,material laboratory,radio station,hydraulics laboratory,etc were set up.Construction of these laboratories in early JTU,met the basic requirements of professional practical teaching,also lad a solid foundation for the development of JTU＇ s engineering education.
